a pair of tracks on the eve of SXSW

TOWNeS – “COMe FIND Me”: Not much is known about this duo, but they really love Broods and Lorde. That much is obvious from this single – subtly classified as Trip hop on their Soundcloud account. With very little fanfare, the project seems to be amassing plays. What would happen if this single gets exposure on lots of major publications? I hope this post is the start of something cool. Like this track. The vocals fade in and out in a way that is very much reminiscent of the genre yet bringing something fresh to the table – especially lyrically.

HUMANS – “Water Water”: Listening to that TOWNeS track definitely made me feel a certain way, so I felt it appropriate to follow up with another downtempo sort of electronic tune made for the masses. “Water Water” is neither pretentious nor mainstream, but I could see a lot of average Joes liking this stuff. “Tell me what you wanna know!” the vocals plead to the listener. Maybe you’ll find the answer if you listen to the rest of this track.
