Comprised of members of AWOLNATION, This White Light, Mossbreaker, Engine Kid, and more, Gale Forces offer up the type of alternative rock that has deep roots in the history of punk and alternative. “Highlights of Existence” delivers post-punky angular rhythms, lush shoegaze textures, muscular stoner rock riffs, anthemic choruses, and the type of guttural power seen in punk cryptids like Iggy Pop.
This electrifying amalgam of influences is used to deliver lyrics that point to our need for community. Says lead singer Jade Devitt, “‘Highlights of Existence’ channels the energy of our primary need for connection. The realization that we’re never that far apart when we sit down and raise a glass around a fire, or in the backyard.
