The Kid Laroi Redeems Canceled Shows In Melbourne with Special Guest The Wiggles

By Ryan G

Fans of The Kid Laroi were surprised on Sunday night when The Wiggles made a guest appearance at the singer’s Melbourne show.

Anthony Field, Jeff Fatt and Greg Page from The Wiggles all came on stage at the Rod Laver Arena alongside Laroi and performed some of their classic children’s songs such as Toot Toot, Chugga Chugga, Big Red Car and Fruit Salad.

“The Kid Laroi and The Wiggles was not a duo I expected, but it is in fact everything I ever needed,” one fan Tweeted.

“Just saw the Kid Laroi AND the Wiggles perform together, my life is officially complete,” another added.

See fan video of the performance below:

The most iconic moment of the night, though, came when the musicians jumped in a (sadly metaphorical) big red car.

This surprise guest comes after fans were left disappointed when Laroi canceled his Melbourne concert on Friday June 3, 30 minutes after he was due to start.

The audience at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne booed and shouted angrily, as an announcer came out to deliver the bad news – the 18-year-old was too sick to perform.

The following morning, Laroi also confirmed the second Melbourne show scheduled for that night was to be canceled.

“Melbourne, I am so sorry, and I love you guys more than life itself. I’ve woken up worse than I was last night,” he wrote on Instagram, “I have just seen the doctor and have been told I can’t perform tonight.”

“My heart is broken, and I feel like I am letting you all down again but I promise I will make it up to you. I need to rest and get myself healthy so that I can give you the show you deserve when I come back to Melbourne next week.”

After such much needed rest and recovery and surely some fruit salad, the shows were rescheduled to Saturday, June 4, and Sunday, June 12. Laroi didn’t disappoint, dropping the hottest and most unexpected collab of the year.

Who will be next to have The Wiggles join them onstage? We’re not in the business of getting your hopes up, but the below tweet from Lil Nas X feels like evidence.
