“Something’s In the Water” with The Myriad

By Ryan G

The alt-rock outfit from Redding, CA is back with their first music video in over a decade.

“Something’s in the Water” is the latest in a string of cinematic singles releasing from the act since “Signs” dropped in 2023. The song carries the band’s trademark air of mystery that arguably began with the act’s acclaimed 2008 album With Arrows, With Poise. The song feels like one long crescendo. The effect is one that could wear out its welcome quickly, but they accomplish a sense of satisfaction and draw out the desired feelings with success.

The Myriad in their current form has Jeremy Edwardson on vocals, and original drummer Scott Davis. They brought along with them some new friends in Norman Williams, Eli Schweyer, and Jamie Beaudoin. Across the act, they also have experience playing live with the likes of Kim Walker Smith, Project 86, and Seabird.

The Myriad will make one of their comeback appearances of 2025 at Audiofeed Festival in Urbana, IL on July 5th alongside acts such as Sower, Officer Negative, Blaster the Rocketman, Gileah Taylor, and many more.

Catch the band’s new music video below. It’s understated in just the right way.
