Adaline is an alt pop artist that lends a sense of old school class to the music she performs. The live session for the title track of her new record, which Tuned Up is pleased to premiere, is no exception.
The Canadian born artist is enjoying a rising presence in entertainment culture due to her songs being licensed more than sixty times, from the likes of Grey’s Anatomy, 90210, Ringer, Lost Girl, Flashpointand The Samaritan starring Samuel L. Jackson.
This music is immersive enough that I actually forgot the video I was watching was in black and white for a second. For a moment I thought I understood was it was like to be a synesthete – one who experiences a blurring of the senses, most often manifested as colors paired with sounds. Many prominent musicians have this condition. I wonder if Adaline does as well.
