PHOTO GALLERY+ REVIEW: LIGHTS’ We Were Here Tour

Photos and words by Samantha Skapin

As always, it was wonderful to see the talented LIGHTS perform (this would be my fourth time), but her stop on Saturday at Newport Music Hall in Columbus for her “We Were Here” Tour took things to a new level. With a crowded venue and a production that was absolutely top-tier, it was great to see LIGHTS’ live performances grow to be as big as they are. She played songs spanning her entire discography, including “Toes” off of Siberia, “Up We Go” off of Little Machines, and even played an acoustic version of “February Air” off of her first record, The Listening. Fans took in the breathtaking displays and danced along with the red-headed queen and her “pizza” synth all night, both having the time of their lives. If you get the chance to check her out on this run, don’t miss it!
