Hadees Market releases wholesome single “Spy Club News”

By Ryan G

It’s not everyday you chat on the phone with a frontman of an indie rock project named for a family grocery store. But that’s what I did a few months ago.

Hadees Market is a project Greg Williamson (the dude behind the band) colloquially calls “groceries for your ears.” I quite like this comparison. Lately I’ve been leaning into the overall “feel” of art more than ever. Recently I attended an indie festival that was full of psychedelic sounds and artwork. Meant to stimulate every sense. I tend to be drawn toward stuff like this.

But sometimes you just want a pleasant rock track. The sort you can put on a playlist at your next housewarming party. Or have on in the background while you’re organizing your office. Or grocery shopping. Perhaps getting groceries in Olympia, Washington.

The latest Hadees Market material is “Spy Club News.” It carries a pleasant and wholesome storytelling aura. Like you’re listening to a good friend tell you about his day. Add in a dash of whimsy and you have a pretty good idea of what you’re about to get into.

Stream “Spy Club News” below and then go give Hadees Market a follow.
