GNARBEQUE PREVIEW: ARISE THE TITAN

Arise the Titan is a band that might be unfamiliar to a lot of our readers. Well, let me tell you: if metal is your poison, then this is a band you should know. And if you like to step out of your comfort zone, this is a band to know. They have riffs for days, and I for one love it. Over the years they have shared the stage with the likes of For Today, All Shall Perish, Gwen Stacey, Bury Your Dead, and more. I know I for one am not missing their set at Gnarbeque; it probably will be the heaviest set all weekend. So I’ll see you in the pit!!!!

TUNED UP: What attracted your band to this festival?

Arise the Titan: We wanted to expand our audience, and Zach and Steve are the realest—wanted to play with lots of different styles of bands and the food!

{Writer’s note, I also miss Mayhem. That was such a great festival. I saw something in May that it may return in 2020.}

What is one thing you enjoy about the summer?

Not raining (laughs at current weather). Definitely all the show opportunities and getting that Vitamin D.

What are your thoughts on socks with sandals?

Very comforting but not a good look
