all systems go – finding closure

All Systems Go send ripples of energy when they dance and fight for validation. The act, utilise their ethos well and they do not suffer in silence. Their EP Finding Closure is a melancholic, evocative, stab at indie rock. Emo influences many of these songs too, and the sadness comes in waves, as the band create these snippets of sorrow.

The EP has moments of brilliance, and it does deserve to be listened to far and wide. The band has what it takes to grind everything out too, and they’re going to play their hands to the bone to achieve the golden route. This 4-song record does pack a punch, and it seems to grow in sonic value every time the drums are smashed and the guitar is strummed.

There are sad moments on this record. Moments when you’ll feel immersed in the melancholia, thinking about the shattered dreams and the days of dispirit. It has this quality though, a quality that draws you into its complex but endearing narrative.

Hey, Crabman! Opens the record. A shuddering guitar riff evolves and the chorus shows the band adeptness at creating energy even through the blur and the sadness.

Empty Hearts And Open Regrets begins with subtle notes until the roar takes over. The band is in its element here, smashing the drums to dust and shouting for a breakthrough.

Survivors Guilt is a lyrical gem. The band really grow here, and the story gets even better, mixing well with that important riff.

All Systems Go is band looking for some master-plan to stave off the darkness and the demons, but their music has the power to give them a head start.
