We are pleased to premiere the new self-titled album from Ohio post-hardcore champions A Tiger Made of Lightning (which, if I may editorialize, is the best band name I’ve heard in a few years). The record is a kick in the teeth filled with mosh-ready riffs, fist-pumping choruses, and more I Think You Should Leave references than you might expect from an album of this powerful and political magnitude.
Says the band, “This record was a total collaboration between the five of us. That’s why the record is self-titled – it’s the most “us” we’ve ever been and wanted the name to reflect that. We stretched ourselves musically and felt confident enough to try some new and interesting things, and I think it really comes through. We wanted to make sure we made songs that we’d be able to pull off live, and that they’d be genuinely fun to play, too. We absolutely cannot wait to share these songs with our friends, our fans, and maybe some extraterrestrials that maybe got spotify when they flew past our planet.”
A Tiger Made of Lightning is available tomorrow.
