The illustrious, industrious, and enigmatic collective of songwriters known as Adjy have been quiet for a bit since the release of The Idyll Opus (I-VI) on Triple Crown.
Since the band has no social media presence, they choose to communicate with friends and followers through their email list. Their most recent email, in short, promises a new EP set in the same world of the album. You can check out one of these unreleased songs below (filmed by yours truly):
Along with this news, the band has chosen to pursue a fully-independent route for future releases, including the second half of the album. Personally, this makes plenty of sense given the band’s high-art approach toward things and general philosophy surrounding lyrical themes.
There is some preliminary, yet complicated, discussion regarding a vinyl release due to the band parting ways with the label. I suspect we’ll hear more eventually, but it’s good to know that this conversation is on the table.
