Audiofeed Festival is coming up quickly, and 2023 marks the second year that Tuned Up will be hosting a stage. The weekend of July 1st through 4th in Urbana, Illinois will bring some of the best up and coming independent artists, along with several seasoned veterans and exciting reunions. To get you hyped for the fest, Tuned Up will be spotlighting artists playing our specially curated stage, hopefully introducing you to your next favorite band.

Audiofeed Artist Spotlight-Bloodlines

If you’ve been missing hardcore beatdown music with overtly Christian themes since legends For Today disbanded, then I am happy to introduce you to the group that will fill that hole. Bloodlines, a band appropriately affiliated with Facedown Records, have all the fury and breakdowns you could want, with lyrics that inspire hope and life. And we are lucky enough to have them playing the Tuned Up stage this summer at Audiofeed Festival. The band was gracious enough to answer some questions to help people get to know them a bit better. Read on for more!

Describe Bloodlines in 5 words:

 Spirit-Filled, energetic, melodic, Riff City, Tasty Breakdowns. 

Could you name a song or two of yours that someone unfamiliar with your band could check out to get a sense of who you are?

We’ll do you one better and give you three.

 

What is your approach to live performances and why should someone come see Bloodlines at Audiofeed?

Our live performances have two main goals. One is to create an inviting space where the presence of God can be felt. Two is to have a blast doing it. 

We want someone to come see our band so they can worship freely! We believe in the power of relationships and community and we would love to have the opportunity to do that with all of you. 

Which artists and/or albums who influenced your music would be carved in stone on your Mount Rushmore?

        -For Today

        -Impending Doom

        -Alpha Wolf

        -Those Who Fear

If you could have rider requests that HAD to be followed by venues and festivals, what would ABSOLUTELY be on it?

We couldn’t think of anything! Just have monitors for us please! 

What kind of music does the band listen to in the van on the way to shows?

We listen to a ton of Worship music honestly. It sounds pretentious, but it’s the honest truth. We can’t handle listening to metal for hours on end, so we purposefully put on worship music on long drives. We’ll also pepper in some pop music here and there! 

Who are some other artists you’re looking forward to seeing at Audiofeed 2023?

Looking forward to seeing our Facedown Family! Also looking forward to seeing the guys in Idle Threat, The Undertaking, Convictions. We will be on tour with The Ongoing Concept and Lightworker at the time of the Festival so we are stoked to see them as well every night!

What are some future projects coming up for Bloodlines?

We are currently in the process of writing some new tunes! We also have some exciting tours coming up in the future that we can’t announce yet so stay tuned!
