Cloud City preview: Elijah Banks

Though the mantra of Cloud City is to feature artists that are under-represented, sometimes their curation aligns with in-place momentum. One such artist on their lineup is Elijah Banks.

Elijah Banks has been slowly rising to prominence in Columbus, playing many a festival and recently playing direct support to Sarob, a hip hop fusion artist that has seen success in the streaming world and with shows in New York City. Like Sarob, Banks’ style is a bit more measured and not as aggressive as some of his peers. Even his single “Party,” a collaboration with Pronto3, opts for a more laid back approach than being a full on club banger.

Look for Banks to provide the chill yet groovy vibes perfect for an end of summer shindig. This is the sort of music I could envision being the soundtrack to a backyard cookout. Don’t miss his set and find all the info you need on Cloud City here. Enjoy our quick Q&A with him below:

If your music was a cocktail (or other liquid concoction), what would it be?

I think my music would be a long island ice tea. It will have you fucked up on so many different levels.

About to release a lot of new music! My new single called “One Hundred” is coming out right before Cloud City on September 5, 2019.
