At first listen, the sounds of Best Foot Back might sound dated.  But wait! That’s not a bad thing.

We find Michael Bashaw channeling his inner Matt Theissen on this song, “The Paradox,” the song we are premiering today from the pop punk group’s debut, self-titled EP.

The song is dated only if you don’t like feeling nostalgic every now and again. To me, this band explores the “pop” side of pop punk pretty well, and should continue to grow as songwriters as they grow into the scene. No pun intended (an early single and fun live song of there’s is called “The Scene”). The overall sound of Best Foot Back, and especially this song “The Paradox,” conveys an easygoing sort of lively vibe perfect for a summer drive.
