Ryan Getz recommends:

ON AN ON is another name that garnered much buzz at SXSW. After reading the buzz about their ethereal genre-blending, I knew it would be good. Their song “Ghosts” for example mixes elements of Radiohead, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Local Natives with a spacey, almost electro twist on the whole thing. Watch “Ghosts” below.

Acoustic driven bluesy folk, Miguel Escobar has a beautiful voice with a beautiful folky style of guitar playing to match. Miguel is a singer/songwriter currently based in Greenville, Illinois, and is currently recording an EP with his band The Noble Manes. Check out his music at the below link:

Jamarr Stokes recommends:

Coldrain is the band I’m going with for this, because they don’t have to transcend any language barrier even though they’re from Japan. But everyone should certainly take notice, as these guys bring it every album. At the beginning, they could’ve been considered as alternative rock, but now I think they’re more metal core. Here’s a song from their new album coming out April 17th called The Revelation! [youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNoQwCRmMpU&h=297&w=450]
