Know Tiger Drive? You probably don’t. Know OceanSpeak? You might if you’ve followed Tuned Up for a long time.
There have been a few paradigm altering moments in the life of Tuned Up. One of those was a tiny show at Rumba Cafe in Columbus, Ohio. A little band called OceanSpeak was opening for SONS and Come Wind, two other little bands starting to make a name for themselves. The band’s theatrical and emotional performance combined with their musical prowess won me over quickly and I was determined to follow these dudes’ endeavors.
In 2015 it was announced that OceanSpeak would continue on in Nashville. What followed were a number of events that resulted in OceanSpeak being laid to rest. Vocalist Jeremy Claudio was determined to continue, and eventually he reunited with drummer Ricky Smith alongside new bandmates Cory Pierce, Stephen Earnest, and Kevin Shuck.
Enter Tiger Drive. Tiger Drive, it’s important to note, is not a continuation of OceanSpeak. This is something entirely new. Their sound is not easy to define, yet it fits into the greater paradigm of the emerging alternative pop movement.
What does Tiger Drive mean? I’m not really sure either. I think that’s up to you to decide for yourself. What does matter is that Tiger Drive is poised to leap into greatness. A series of very specific events have led the group to this point, and Jeremy would likely tell you that none of this was an accident.
Hence, it is our great pleasure to introduce to you Tiger Drive’s debut single, the bouncy and funky “Free To Go.” Think this will leave your head? Listen and test that theory. Then, give the band a follow on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

This is crazy good. Been listening to it non-stop. Can’t wait for more music from these guys! I was super disappointed when they stopped creating as ocean speak, but this might even be better…
I second everything you just said there!
