In my time with Tuned up I have had the chance to interact with so many incredible people in the music industry. This is something I never saw myself doing. For me the last four years have been amazing. With have said that, one of the best aspects of working with Tuned Up is getting to interview bands. Last year I had the opportunity to interview one of my favorite bands, Broadside. I can remember how nervous I was leading up to that night. Once it happened I was completely at ease. It was like chatting with friends, like I do with so many people about music. Afterwards I went upstairs to buy some merch and their tour manager told me how they had come back ranting and raving about the interview and how it was their favorite they had done. My night was completely made after that. Over the next year I would see Broadside a few more times and they would always mention that night.
A few weeks ago I yet again was preparing to interview Broadside, it was actually a week off from a year since the last one. We talked about that actually. Much like the first time I was really nervous, not sure why. I guess it’s like how some musicians always get nervous before going on stage. Maybe it’s just human nature. But I was more nervous this time around. As with before a few minutes into the interview I was at ease and it truly was like talking with old friends. So let’s get to it. Enjoy!
