Recently, I AM TUNED UP got the attention of Los Angeles based Free LA with our mention of the Jesus Rave – the most recent manifestation of the growing Christian rave subculture. We are spotlighting Free LA today not only for this reason, but also because they share our vision of spotlighting those doing creative things in the industry, and giving rising musicians tips to succeed. While I AM TUNED UP leans more toward highlighting organizations rather than being a true think tank for music business tips, we hope that artists will get ideas from organizations we spotlight.

Free LA is having one of its biggest events of the year the week of this posting – the Blackout concert. The show will feature many different avenues of performing arts, and will be headlined by their new house band Paradym MG, who are a fusion band of several different styles. I AM TUNED UP is proud to be an official partner of Free LA in light of this event (thank you, Sukari Waters for reaching out to us!). While we do not officially market ourselves as a faith based site, I do hope that if you are inclined as such you will lift up Free LA in prayer with me (Ryan Getz) for what they are doing in the industry in California, as well with how they are impacting LA’s urban youth.

For a full press release detailing the Blackout event and more, check out the official Free LA Facebook page. Two of Paradym MG’s songs are available for streaming here.
