Too Random To Ignore: Grohl and Lambert get serious with new ventures

By Ryan G

Not super relevant to the progression of the music industry as a whole, but I couldn’t resist passing forward these two tidbits.

Adam Lambert will become the lead singer for Queen (yes, really).

Dave Grohl (of Foo Fighters) will produce a new comedy on FX.

So basically, one of these sounds like the plot of a sitcom, and one of these is (I kid, I kid…but really).  My prediction is the Lambert role will be very polarizing, but he just might have the charisma to pull it off.  As for Grohl…I could see him acting in a comedy.  As for being the brains behind one…I have hopes.

I agree with your logic of Lambert being charismatic enough to pull off the Queen lead (if it is still going to happen). Actually…I really love the choice. Lambert is perfect for Queen in that he embodies what Freddie stood for and Lambert has the voice to make it happen. I’m not a big fan of Lambert’s music, but I think he has a brilliant stage presence and one amazing voice.
